Today’s trance mix has been in my mind during this busy busy exam week, it really helped me clear my mind, and i’m sure it can do the same for you. It’s not 100% chilled though, balearic trance is half way between chill trance and trance. Daniel’s trance mix starts off with the peaceful sound of waves crashing along the balearic coast, accompanied by the hypnotic sound of wild birds. Theres a large presence of spanish guitars and rhythms that just couldn’t get enough of, very refreshing. I found myself air guitaring and tapping along to the infectious rhythms and melodies. I think it’s ”Balearic Breakfast” where you hear some really complex and mind-blowing guitar music courtesy of Sunlounger.
Daniel builds the momentum of the music up with the addition of beautiful vocals and a very interesting piano piece found on Arno Cost’s – Cyan, then some more wonderful vocals from Nastala. And then comes my favorite song, although it is hard to pick a favorite in this beautiful trance mix, DJ Shah’s In and Out…. It’s just so hypnotic and eerily beautiful. Riddles in the Sand sets an uplifting atmosphere for the last part of this wonderful trance mix, and then Sunrise at Palamos just comes along and lifts you up with it’s uber uplifting synth melodies. And it all ends with Above and Beyond’s Anjuna Beach, the perfect end to the perfect day, at Rosarito Beach…

What’s up Balearic people! Welcome to the second instalment of my yearly mix The Balearic Sessions! In this edition I was inspired by the vibe and feel of Rosarito Beach. It brings back good memories with my friends and family. Every summer we visit Rosarito and we chill with an ice cold beer, home made ceviche and the norteño trio’s playing mexican music, now that’s life!
In this mix I included tracks with a lot of guitar strings and a couple trancey-housey tunes that capture the essence of the beach. So just sit back and relax in your favorite spot, it can be your bed, your car, the pool or your rooftop and transport yourself to the beach! Let this be the soundtrack of your summer!
