The Oeta project definitely does not belong in the “Ordinary” world, therefore, trying to conform it to a particular genre is rather difficult and meaningless. Although, for what its worth, the genre that comes the closest to matching Oeta’s “Forestall Sun” would be Progressive Psy-Trance.
The driving force behind this innovative and fresh sound is Oeta projects leader: Aram Deuchler – A music professor, visionary and an avid guitarist.
Aram’s project first saw the light of day in early 2009 with the goal of creating new sounds, whilst still using traditional equipment such as guitars with no intention of adapting sounds or riffs from other kinds of music. What also sets Oeta apart from the ordinary is that the music is not created through the inspiration of a sad event in the artists life, the same goes with happy events. Instead, Oeta’s music is inspired by life, by nature in particular “I can hear some music while I am walking in the forest or city (as I usually do) and I really love the way it feels” (Aram Deuchler).
The video for Oeta – Forestall Sun was filmed in a week of spring 2010 in Mexico, then edited and completed in Autumn 2010.
Enjoy! =}
