Who Agnelli and Nelson are:

Chris Agnew and Robbie Nelson have been writing and producing dance music together since 1997. Their massive Balearic classics ‘El Nino’ and ‘Everyday’ have helped define the sound of the Ibiza party spirit, while five UK top thirty hits and countless buzz chart remixes have ensured that the pair remain synonymous with the more musical end of club music.

Robbie and Chris have remixed major artists from rock legends U2 to dance music kings Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Burren. Recent club incursions have been with touch-ups for Matt Darey, Jon the Dentist, Scott Bond vs Solar Stone and former label-mates Chicane. They have provided six guest mixes on BBC Radio One (including two live NYE specials) and appeared on Top of the Pops.

Agnelli and Nelson produce music for Xtravaganza and under pseudonyms (Afterburn, Cortez) for labels such as Tsunami and ID&T. Their most recent original track ‘Holding Onto Nothing’ was championed by the likes of Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk, who made a special re-rub of the track for his own Vandit imprint.

On the travel front, the Irish duo have been spinning throughout the world from the U.S. to Japan, as well as regular European and UK dates such as Passion, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Slinky.

Who MarsNRG is:

MarsNRG is an aspiring DJ residing in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Still aiming to find opportunities to play to a live audience, he continues to promote himself on the web through his blogs and sets shared with the whole world.

Mars is an acronym for his name, it stands for Marcos Silvestri. That is also meant to be the planet Mars, and MarsNRG is an expression of his potential and taste for electronic music.

His admired Trance artists and Projects, some of them which fostered his interest for Trance, are Ferry Corsten, Gouryella, Robert Miles, DJ Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Binary Finary, Transa, Art of Trance, Union Jack, Ayla, DJ Taucher, Brainbug, B.B.E., Gigi D’Agostino, Fragma, Lasgo, ATB, Sash!, etc. Mister Picotto is the most admired for what he used to produce in the beginning of the century, and he played a substantial role in MarsNRG’s interest for Trance music.

Even though he has a particular taste for Trance, he also enjoys other styles of music and keeps on mixing the 80s, 90s and 2000s electronic music, entailing House (Strictly Rhythm), Flash House (the sound of the 80s), Speed Garage, Eurodance, Electro House, Hard House, Jungle and D&B, Hard Dance, and last but not least, Trance, in some of its genres, mainly Uplifting, Hard, Dream and Vocal Trance.

As times goes by he feels more and more inclined to dedicate his efforts to Trance and Hard styles as a whole, the sound that he considers the most enjoyable to rock to the fullest.

The sole thing that he would like at this special moment is getting a high number of plays, faves and comments on his sets, in a way for him to acknowledge to himself that the days he aspires for (the days of playing in front of a live audience) comes closer and closer, and he is more than prepared to go live and blow up the dance floor.

Welcome to the world of MarsNRG!

Part 2: DJ MarsNRG presents The Dark Side of Mars:

MarsNRG’s description of this mix:

This time DJ MarsNRG presents what he calls the Dark Side Of Mars. By that, he means that he showcases his taste for Dark and Hard Trance tunes, bringing about some classic monstrous tracks.

The set was originally thought out to be a gift to his friend Ben Bravery, the TranceMix ambassador. To his surprise, Ben approved of the set too much and got really thrilled when trying to imagine how successful the set could be if released by TranceMix.

Get ready for classic Trance music with a fine Dark and Hard taste. May your travel to the obscure side of Mars be just awesome!

Hi TranceMix staff! Thanks for launching my set to a live audience at international level. Once I’m searching for visibility, your aid is just fundamental, and the approach you take fits like a glove for my goals.

    Regards from Brazil!
