Hello everyone, it has been a while, but here is another installment to our “Featured Tune” segment. We’ve been waiting a good month to get this out to you, and this week is the week, the week that you will be falling for Brioni Faith’s new tune all the way from Queensland, Australia entitled: Falling.
Falling has received a lot of love and attention from people all over the trance and dance music scene as a whole. One of them being Up FM. About Brioni Faith:
Brioni Faith is a singer-songwriter and trance/dance artist, based on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia, who has recently released her debut single “Falling.”
Brioni loves to create… and has not only been responsible for the lyrics, vocals and a lot of the music behind Falling, but also co-produced the song and created the video clip.
“Falling began as a downtempo track – with a ‘Massive Attack’ sort of feel to it. It was written about coming out of a long term relationship and entering into the unknown. The first version was very moody, very ambient and soul-searching. But from the time that I first wrote the lyrics, I always wanted to explore a trance version of the song.”
“The amazing thing that happened was; as the trance version developed, the song changed. It became more about the adrenaline of new adventure, the freedom and beauty that comes out of entering into the unknown, and the transformation that takes place. Essentially it’s about letting go, and embracing the journey.”
“The video clip was amazing to create. I loved being able to manifest the vision of how I’d always seen it. There were parts of the song that I had very specific visuals with, and then finding the clips to match that vision was an inspiring process. The clip flew together in an almost unexplainable way.”
Brioni is now working on the video clip for her next single, due for release in the next couple of months. Any plans to tour?? Brioni hints that we can expect to see her making the rounds later in the year.
“Absolutely! There’s a few singles to come out first, but we plan to begin touring once a couple have been released, and then follow with a full tour with the release of the album. I can’t wait to create the full live experience, I’m looking forward to the visual side of the show as much as the rest of it.”
The singles have been recorded in both English and French for European release. The French release ‘Sans Retour” will be out as digital release only on July 7th 2011.
